One of the hot new designers is Gudrun Johnston of The Shetland Trader fame. She runs in the same circles as Jared Flood and Ysolda Teague and like Flood and Teague, her designs are hip, innovative and classic (all at the same time!) The Conway Hat (shown right) is a perfect example of Johnston's simple yet way cool elegance. The pattern is available from Johnston's The Shetland Trader website or on Ravelry for $4.00. The pattern calls for Berroco Vintage and Ultra Alpaca, which the Yarn Mart just happens to carry in a unbelievable array of colors.
